Drinking

Apparently, if you dont drink enough water during the day you are prone to urinary tract infection and this goes out to all you ladies who read this. It flipping hurts if you get it so keep drinking your water. (That does not include tea, coffee, fizzy drinks).

I havent had a chance to do any crafts today, well, tell a lie, when I was waiting at the doctors surgery I managed to make 2 octagon granny shapes. I came home and have spent the rest of the day up till now, cleaning my kitchen. I am absolutely knackered. Am going to stop now cause I have got to rest, got early start tomorrow.

Time Flies

I cannot believe it has been nearly a month since I wrote on this blog. I have decided today that I am going to make it more interesting now, am going to learn how to put on photos on here of my crafts completed and ufo's that need to be finished. I have been off work for 5 days on annual leave and have been crocheting, knitting, baking, tidying up and watching NCIS. Listened to music most of today and been drinking tea and coffee. I did do a little housework but hey, theres always housework to be done.

Hormonal wingging

Yep, I hate everything when the decorators are in!!!! I have had a week of chest infection, viral infection, bored house husband moaning, no money to spend, a 6 day working week for me which stops me from enjoying the only day I get off cause I am too damned tired to bother with anything. My husband started smoking again (hate hate hate hate) and now he has decided to use a drug prescribed by the doctor to take away the flavour of cigerettes!!

I have had 2 days sick from work cause the stupid locum doctor prescribed me antibiotics (sorry, he is not stupid, I was for taking them) that caused an allergic reaction so I thought sod it, how am I going to get rid of this infection if I dont stay away from work for a few days. So what did I do, crochet 3 more flipping christmas stockings. Thats 17 made so far, just got another 23 to do. Then while I was watching NCIS which I am totally hooked on, I knitted myelf a beret in a lovely salmon pink colour in 'sirdar bigga wool' only to find it was a little too small for my head! Still, started another one straight after and have got that to look forward to tomorrow. That is, once I have got up at 5am for work and then not getting home till 1.30pm. But it makes up a little for the two days money I have lost.

I have spent the last few weeks wondering a lot about what my life would be like if I had not made the choices I have so far in my 41 years of living! Does anybody else do that? My kids dont need me anymore, both too interested in their girlfriends so it is rare that we all sit down for a meal together. I miss all of that! We should have moved away years ago! We should have been stronger! Life has got much more difficult now that the routine of being a needed Mum is fading, so what happens next aye! I know one thing is for sure, I am not going to sit about waiting for things to happen in my life!!

Back to work!

Ok, so it had to happen. The two weeks annual leave had to end and went back to work today. Woke up at 7am and it was chilly, dull and miserable (normal monday morning then). The autumn season is sooner here than I thought because all the leaves on the few trees down our road have suddenly turned golden. They look so gorgeous on the tree.

Had quite a busy day and I did liven up once I got into work! Mind you, my mind was on my little dog Tammie cause I have really missed her today. She had been following me around like a shadow the 2 weeks I was off and today I kept looking around for her. I did come home to a wonderful greeting from her tonight when I got in from work. She is certainly my best friend.

I didnt feel like going to craft club tonight, they were having a demo on card making and I have done that for a few years now. (Gave away all my card making equipment a few weeks ago). So instead I stayed home. Had dinner, walked Tammie, got washed and changed by 7.30pm and sat in the corner of my 'corner suite' and crocheted for hours. (Watched NCIS).

I have been contemplating knitting a shawl for a christmas gift but have got to find the exact pattern so that if I go wrong with it, it will 'frog' easily. Looks like I will be spending a lot of time on ravelry to find one!!!

The English Weather

As soon as the school summer holidays are over, the weather changes to Autumn. I'm not bothered completely, I just know that in about a months time the mornings and evenings are going to be dark and thats what I hate. I love Autumn and the colours of that season.

I have been on annual leave from work for nearly 2 weeks now and I cant say I have loved it. The recession has hit us very hard and every time I watch the news on the television, it really gets on my nerves. But, I am not going to involve politics on here, it bores me to tears.

What have I made in my two weeks off. A pair of fingerless gloves, a pair of leg warmers, a fair isle tote bag that went wrong when I tried to felt it, and a beaded head band for my cousin. Not bad really because its even done my diet good too (have not thought about food much). Oh, and a lacy curtain for my bathroom.

I have been watching a lot of youtube videos about knitting and crochet and I find that I watch more on the computer than I do watching tv programmes. TV is so boring. Tell a lie, I tell ya what I did watch the day before yesterday, a programme about the trains in New York and the tunnels. I couldnt believe that it runs 24/7. Why cant they do that over here in the UK!

Am off to take my best friend out for a walk before it starts to get chilly. See ya.
